Problem... Students did not know who was on shift and who to go to for help after class.

Solution... TA Tonight! A Ruby on Rails app showing the TAs for the night. Front-end done in Plain Vanilla JavaScript. No jQuery. Using Redis for temporary storage of the Help Request Queue. Gathering Updates with a simple recursive polling function.

I love Game of Thrones and wanted to code something related to it. I found out about Joakim Skoog's API and created a client in Ruby to consume it's data.

A web app for receipt tracking and digitizing your receipts. The app reads text data from an uploaded image using the Tesseract OCR Library. User interface created with AJAX and jQuery. Receipt location is geocoded and tracked with Google Maps. This was my first Rails solo project.
